About Gallery 61

A passionate use of colour and texture is what you will first notice about the works of Julie Weston.

Painting intuitively in an abstract expressionist style, Julie ventures where her dreams and brushes take her using memories and vintage imagery as inspiration which leads to a deep immersion in paint, colour and soulful creativity.

Inspired by the rich colours and earthiness of textures from the Australian land and streetscapes, the patina from objects once loved and now discarded are major influences on her work.

Julie's mission is to not only present her own artwork but those of the wider community to help give the unknown artists a voice in the art world.
